课程 successfully completed through either dual enrollment or dual credit will result in credit that appears on an official SBU transcript. 然后这个信用可以 count toward a future SBU degree, or a degree at another institution that accepts 业务单位信用. Students can also qualify for the dual credit scholarship - applied to their full-time college tuition at SBU - by earning at least six credits through either dual enrollment or dual credit at SBU. 

Other benefits of earning college credit while in high 学校 include:

• Taking advantage of a lower cost per college 课程
• Exploring your interests before starting college
• Challenging yourself with more advanced 课程work
• Learning from highly qualified educators (all instructors have same level of qualifications required of SBU adjunct faculty, and sometimes SBU faculty also will teach dual credit 课程)

High 学校 students who wish to take college credit while still in high 学校 can take online dual enrollment 课程s through SBU Prep, a partnership between SBU and CampusEDU.

SBU Prep offers multiple college-level 课程s through an innovative and accessible 在线学习平台. Students can complete 课程s in 16 or 12 weeks, and you are able to sign up for as many 课程s as you think you can take at a time. 课程 cost $300, and you can register through SBUprep.com.  

These dual enrollment 课程s only offer credit from 宝博体育. Students who want to pursue classes that earn dual credit from SBU and their high 学校 can learn more about dual credit options below.

If you are in your last two years of high 学校 and want to get started on college academics, you can do so through dual credit 课程s offered at your local high 学校. Dual credit allows a student to earn both high 学校 and college credit for the same 课程. 访问 your high 学校 counselor to learn about available dual credit 课程s 在你的高中.

To pursue dual credit, you must meet certain qualifications, including at least a 3.累积绩点为0(4分).0 scale), recommendation by your high 学校 counselor or principal, and any requirements for specific 课程s.

Seated dual-credit 课程s are available at certain high 学校 campuses and have been determined to meet the requirements of the equivalent class offered at SBU. 访问 your high 学校 counselor to learn about available dual credit 课程s at your high 学校.
